Caramelo is a noun, and means a sweet that you eat. Dulce is an adjective to describe something as sweet.

Spanish meals are different to English meals.

  • Breakfast is eaten around 7:00am - 9:00 am and is a light meal, e.g. pastries and coffee

  • Lunch is the main meal of the day and is eaten around 2:00pm, and lots of shops close for their lunch break. People often have a snack at 11:00am to keep them going

  • Dinner is eaten around 9:00pm, with a snack at 5pm if needed

  • Some typical Spanish dishes include tapas, which are small dishes of food served when you buy a drink in a bar, and paella, which is a dish of rice and seafood, although different regions have their own specialities
