Teaching experience

• Prior to working for SME, Lucy has been a passionate Maths teacher for over 12 years, teaching Maths across the UK and abroad helping to engage, interest and develop confidence in the subject at all levels.

Recognition in their field

• Working as a Head of Department and then Director of Maths, Lucy has advised schools and academy trusts in both Scotland and the East Midlands, where her role was to support and coach teachers to improve Maths teaching for all.

Student success

• Lucy has supported hundreds of teachers and thousands of students at all levels to achieve the very best grades, working with departments to improve their Ofsted ratings and achieve Outstanding results.

Published work

• Lucy's Master's dissertation focussed on gender and Maths and she has done a lot of work promoting STEM, focusing on creating positive relationships with Maths, particularly for girls and parents, encouraging everyone to feel more confident and comfortable with Maths.
