Intersection - GCSE Maths Definition

In GCSE Maths, the term 'intersection' refers to the point or points where two lines, curves, or shapes meet or cross each other. For example, if you have two lines on a graph, the intersection is the exact spot where both lines touch. If you think about where two streets meet, that's their intersection.

In maths, finding the intersection can help solve equations or understand how different graphs relate to each other. Remember, an intersection can be a single point or even a line, depending on what shapes or lines you are working with.
