Urban sustainability refers to the idea of creating cities that can meet the needs of people today without harming the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It involves making sure that city environments are healthy, safe, and full of opportunities, while also protecting our planet. This includes managing resources like water and energy wisely, reducing pollution and waste, increasing green spaces and encouraging renewable energy. Urban sustainability also means supporting local communities, encouraging environmentally friendly businesses, and planning for long-term urban growth in a way that respects nature. All these efforts aim to create a balance between improving people's lives and looking after the planet.
