Magnification is the process of making an object appear larger than it actually is, often through the use of lenses or other optical tools, such as microscopes or telescopes. In GCSE Physics, magnification is important for studying tiny details or distant objects that are hard to see with just your eyes. It's calculated as the ratio of the image size to the actual size of the object. For example, a magnification of 2 means the image looks twice as big as the real object.
