Repulsion - GCSE Physics Definition

Repulsion is a force that pushes objects away from each other. In physics, you often see repulsion happening between similar electric charges or magnetic poles. For example, if you have two magnets, and you try to push the north pole of one magnet towards the north pole of the other, they will push away from each other because similar poles repel. This is similar to electric charges, where two positive charges or two negative charges will push each other away.
