Volume - GCSE Physics Definition

In physics, "volume" refers to the amount of space that an object or substance occupies. It is a measure of how much three-dimensional space is inside a shape or container. You can think of volume like the capacity of a bottle or the space inside a box. Volume is usually measured in cubic units, such as cubic centimetres (cm³) or cubic metres (m³). To find the volume of regular shapes, you often need to multiply their length, width, and height. Understanding volume helps us figure out quantities such as density and pressure.
