Secondary Research - GCSE Business Definition

Secondary research, also known as desk research, gathers and analyses existing data that has already been collected. For GCSE Business students, this means using resources such as books, online articles, industry reports, surveys, and official statistics to understand market trends, consumer behaviour, or the competitive environment.

Secondary research is a cost-effective and efficient way to obtain information, as it saves time and resources by using data that is already available. It allows businesses to make informed decisions without the need for primary data collection methods like surveys or focus groups, which are expensive to administer.
