Storage speed refers to how quickly data can be read from or written to a storage device, such as a hard drive or solid-state drive. It is an important factor in how fast a computer can access and save data. Faster storage speed means that a computer can open files, run programs, and transfer data more quickly. For example, if your computer has to load a large amount of data from storage to RAM, a higher storage speed will make this process faster, resulting in quicker performance.
