Frequency - GCSE Maths Definition
Reviewed by: Mark Curtis

In GCSE Maths, the term 'frequency' refers to how often something happens. It is a way of counting how many times a specific event or value appears in a set of data. For example, if you roll a dice 20 times and get the number 6 four times, the frequency of rolling a 6 is 4. Frequency helps us understand patterns and can be shown in charts and graphs, like bar charts and frequency tables, to make data easier to understand and compare.
