A histogram is a type of bar chart that uses the area of the bar to represent the frequency. They show how data is spread out over different ranges, called intervals or classes, which can vary in size. This visual way of presenting data makes it easier to see how data is distributed. For example, if you measured the heights of everyone in your class, a histogram could show you how many students fall into various height ranges, helping you understand the overall height distribution in your class.
