Personality - GCSE Psychology Definition

Personality refers to the unique patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that make each person different from others. It is what makes you 'you' and includes things like how you usually think, feel, and act in different situations. In psychology, personality is studied to understand why people behave the way they do and how they interact with others. Some psychologists believe personality is shaped by your environment and experiences, while others think it has a biological basis, meaning it could be influenced by your genes. Understanding personality helps us to better understand ourselves and other people.
