Youth Cultures - GCSE Sociology Definition

Youth cultures refer to the unique styles, behaviours, and interests shared by young people, often as a way to express their identity and sense of belonging. These cultures can include things like music, fashion, slang, and hobbies that differ from those of older generations. Youth cultures can also provide a sense of community and support, as young people often come together to form groups or subcultures based on common interests. In sociology, studying youth cultures helps us understand how young people influence and are influenced by society, and how they use these cultures to navigate the challenges of growing up.
