A sensory neurone is a type of nerve cell that carries electrical impulses from sensory receptors (such as those in the skin, eyes, or ears) to the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). These impulses allow the body to detect stimuli like touch, temperature, light, and sound. Sensory neurones play a key role in enabling the body to sense and respond to changes in the environment.
