A Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) is an infection that is passed from one person to another through sexual contact. STDs can affect anyone who is sexually active and are spread through contact with body fluids such as semen, vaginal fluids, or blood. Common STDs include chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and HIV. Symptoms can vary, and some infections may show no symptoms at all, which is why regular testing is important. Using protection during sex, such as condoms, can help prevent the spread of STDs, and many can be treated or managed with medication if diagnosed early.
