Standard Of Living - GCSE Geography Definition

Standard of living refers to the level of wealth, comfort, and basic necessities available to a person or a group of people. It includes factors like income, employment, housing, and access to education and healthcare. A higher standard of living means people can afford more goods and services, have better living conditions, and enjoy a healthier and longer life. In geography, studying the standard of living helps us understand how different places and societies meet the needs of their populations, and why some areas might be more developed or richer than others.
