About

Lynn is a qualified MFL teacher and English Language specialist who writes German revision content for Save My Exams. She has extensive experience teaching in secondary schools in both Luxembourg and the UK, as well as in international language schools. She now works as a specialist tutor, supporting students from primary level through to advanced exam preparation.

Having grown up in Luxembourg, Lynn developed a strong multilingual foundation and a deep understanding of language acquisition. She is fluent in Luxembourgish, English, German and French, and draws on this background to help students develop accuracy, confidence and a secure command of language.

Lynn holds a BA and MA in English Literature, as well as a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages, and is Cambridge CELTA qualified. Alongside her teaching, she has worked as a Cambridge English and IELTS speaking interlocutor and exams supervisor, giving her first-hand insight into how students are assessed and what examiners are looking for in high-scoring responses.

She now works as a private tutor and education consultant, specialising in GCSE German and English. A key focus of her work is preparing international students for UK schooling pathways, including entrance exams, academic English and adapting to the expectations of the UK education system. She also supports students preparing for IELTS and Cambridge English qualifications.

In her spare time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, experimenting with new dishes in the kitchen and making the most of the outdoors in Surrey.

She has extensive experience preparing students for GCSEs, A Levels, IELTS and Cambridge English qualifications, and supporting learners in developing clear, well-structured responses.

A key area of her work is guiding international students through UK schooling pathways, including 11+ and 13+ entrance exams, academic English and adapting to the expectations of the UK education system.

She also brings specialist insight into exam assessment, drawing on her experience as a Cambridge English and IELTS speaking interlocutor and exams supervisor to help students understand what examiners are looking for and how to achieve high marks.
