Education

Ali graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in Geography and

Economics, followed by a PGDE in Secondary Education.

Expertise

Ali teaches S1 to S6 pupils and heads up a successful Geography department in the centre of Scotland’s capital Drawing on various travel and work experiences abroad, including a 6-week work programme in Antarctica, Ali has developed a number of field trips for pupils and sees this as an important component of learning the subject. Ali has also been an examiner for SQA for 12 years

Spare time

Ali is a keen skier and a qualified ski instructor. She loves to read and is attempting to learn Swahili.
