
Biography
Jonny is a teacher with 14 years of experience teaching in secondary schools in England and Scotland.
His journey into teaching is more unconventional than others, for having spent six years as a newspaper journalist and news editor, working in the regional press, he retrained as an English teacher at the University of London.
He has since taught in London and Edinburgh, and is currently Assistant Principal Teacher of English with specific oversight of the National 5 curriculum.
At Save My Exams, Jonny has been responsible for creating resources for the Scottish Poetry component of the English Critical Reading paper.
Jonny also works as a writer and author, and notably published The Mountains are Calling, which was longlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award.
Education
Jonny graduated from the University of Exeter, with a BA in History, followed by a PGCE in English from the University of London.
