The biosphere is the global sum of all ecosystems, where life exists on Earth. Within the biosphere living organisms, including humans, interact with the land, oceans, and atmosphere. The biosphere encompasses all living beings and their relationships with each other and their physical environment. It extends from the deepest ocean floors to the highest parts of the atmosphere where life can survive. In GCSE Geography, studying the biosphere helps students appreciate the intricate balance of ecosystems and the importance of conserving biodiversity for the sustainability of our planet.
