Globalisation - GCSE Geography Definition

Globalisation is the process by which the world is becoming more interconnected, as people, businesses, and countries interact and share ideas, products, and culture more easily. This happens through trade, technology, travel, and communication. For example, a laptop made from parts in multiple countries and sold around the world is a result of globalisation. It can lead to more choices for consumers and access to different cultures, but it can also cause problems like job losses in certain areas and environmental challenges due to increased production and transportation.
