Income Distribution - GCSE Geography Definition

Income distribution refers to how money earned by people in a country, called income, is shared among them. In some countries, a few people have a lot of money, while many others have very little. In others, the income is shared more evenly, with fewer people being either very rich or very poor. This affects how people live, the jobs they can get, and the services and goods they can afford, like healthcare, schools, or even basic things like food and housing. In geography, studying income distribution helps us understand the economic differences between places and how they impact people's lives and opportunities.
