Sphere Of Influence - GCSE Geography Definition

The term 'Sphere of Influence' refers to the area or region around a place, like a town or city, where it has a big impact or influence. This can mean people often travel there for shopping, work, or school, or services like hospitals and libraries. The sphere of influence can be bigger if the place is a large city with lots of services, or smaller if it's a town with fewer facilities. In geography, understanding spheres of influence helps us see how different places are connected and how they depend on each other for resources and services.
