Water security is the ability to have a reliable and safe supply of fresh water for everyday needs. It means having clean water available for drinking, cooking, washing, and growing food, as well as for businesses and the environment. Water security is important because it helps prevent water shortages and ensures that people, plants, and animals have enough water to stay healthy. It also involves protecting water sources from pollution and managing water resources wisely, so there is enough for everyone now and in the future.
