A trade union is a group of workers who join together to collectively protect their rights and interests at work. They focus on improving things like pay, working conditions, and job security. By coming together, they have more power when negotiating with employers about these issues. Trade unions also provide support to their members if they have any problems at work and often play a role in discussions about employment laws and policies. Historically, trade unions have been important in shaping workers' rights and improving standards in workplaces.
