What is geometry?
Geometry is the part of GCSE Maths that involves constructing, measuring and investigating lines, angles and shapes. Geometry can be split into a range of smaller topics that include angles, lines, shapes, lengths, areas, volumes, symmetry, transformations, trigonometry and vectors.

In geometry, there are lots of facts about different shapes to learn, called geometric properties. An example of a geometric property is the fact that all interior angles in a triangle add up to 180°. There are also formulas for lengths, areas and volumes which you may need to use (some of which are given to you in the exam).
