A magnetic field pattern is a visual representation of the area around a magnet where magnetic forces can be detected. It shows how the invisible magnetic field spreads out from the magnet and affects other objects, such as iron filings or a compass needle. To see a magnetic field pattern, you can sprinkle iron filings on a piece of paper and place a magnet underneath; the filings will align, creating a pattern called magnetic field lines. These lines show how the magnetic field moves from the magnet's north pole to its south pole.
