Peer Review - GCSE Physics Definition

Peer review is a process where scientists examine each other's work to make sure it is correct and trustworthy. When a scientist conducts a study or experiment, they write a report about what they did and what they found. Before this report is shared with the public, other experts in the same field (their 'peers') carefully check it for any mistakes or problems. They look at whether the methods used were appropriate and if the results are presented clearly. This helps ensure that scientific information is accurate and reliable.
