A Thermal Energy Store is an energy store in the form of heat, and it is also called the internal energy store. When an object is heated, its particles move faster, increasing the energy in its thermal energy store. Therefore, the hotter an object is, the more thermal energy it has. This stored heat can be used to warm up homes, provide hot water, or even produce electricity.
