Interview - GCSE Psychology Definition

An interview is a method used in psychology to collect information by asking people questions. In this process, the interviewer asks a series of questions to an interviewee to learn about their thoughts, feelings, or behaviours.
Interviews can be structured, with the same set of questions for everyone, or unstructured, where the questions can change based on the conversation. They help researchers understand people’s experiences in more detail and are important in studies where understanding human behaviour is the main goal. They can be done face-to-face, over the phone, or through video calls.
