Ratio - GCSE Psychology Definition

In GCSE Psychology, the term 'ratio' refers to a type of data measurement that compares different quantities, showing the relationship between them. For example, if you are studying how many hours students spend studying compared to the number of hours they spend on leisure activities, a ratio could help you express this relationship. If a student studies for two hours and spends four hours on fun activities, the ratio of study to fun is 2:4. Ratios help psychologists make sense of data by showing how different pieces of information relate to each other in a clear and simple way.
