Judgement - GCSE Religious Studies Definition

In GCSE Religious Studies, "Judgement" refers to the assessment or decision-making process regarding what is right or wrong, often in a moral or religious context. It involves evaluating actions, beliefs, or situations against a set of criteria or standards. These standards are taken from religious teachings, personal beliefs, or societal norms. In many religious traditions, judgement is associated with the belief that a higher power, such as God, evaluates human actions and intentions, determining their ultimate fate or standing in the afterlife. Understanding judgement helps students explore how different religions interpret moral responsibility and the consequences of human actions.
