Social construction is the idea that many things we believe to be natural or normal in society are actually created by people. This means that our ideas about what is acceptable behaviour, the roles people play in society, and even our understanding of things like gender or beauty, are shaped by the culture and time we live in. They are not fixed truths but change as society changes. By understanding that these concepts are constructed, we can see how they influence our daily lives and think about ways to make society fairer.
