What is adware?

In IGCSE Computer Science, adware is a type of software that automatically displays unwanted advertisements, often in the form of pop-ups or banners. It is usually bundled with free software and can track user behaviour to serve targeted ads.

Why is adware a security risk?

While some adware is harmless, it can also slow down a computer, collect personal data, or redirect users to malicious websites.
