A clinical trial is a type of research study that tests how well new medical approaches work in people. These studies are carefully planned and involve volunteers who agree to try new medicines, treatments, or medical devices to see if they are safe and effective. Clinical trials are an essential step in the development of new treatments, helping scientists and doctors understand how new therapies can help improve health or combat diseases. There are different phases in clinical trials, each designed to answer specific questions and make sure the treatment is safe and effective before it can be widely used by individuals.
