Systematic error is a type of mistake that occurs in scientific experiments and affects the results in the same way each time. Unlike random errors, which happen by chance and can make results vary in either direction, systematic errors consistently make the results either too high or too low. This can be caused by faulty equipment, incorrect techniques, or bias in how measurements are taken. Understanding systematic error helps identify and correct problems to make experimental results more accurate.
