Decagon - GCSE Maths Definition

A decagon is a type of polygon that has ten sides and ten angles. In geometry, polygons are flat shapes with straight sides, and decagons are one of the many types, just like triangles, squares, and pentagons.
In a regular decagon, all sides are the same length, and all the angles are equal. Each angle in a regular decagon measures 144 degrees, and the total of all the internal angles is 1,440 degrees.
Understanding decagons can help you explore more complex geometry topics, which is an important part of your GCSE Maths course.
