Citizens Advice describe age discrimination as where you are treated unfairly because of your age or the age group you are part of. Age is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. It is unlawful to discriminate against someone because of how old they look or because of a person they are with, such as a parent, partner, child or friend. |
