In the topic of shopping, use demonstrative adjectives to point out items. Let's look at them in more detail.

Demonstrative adjectives

  • Demonstrative adjectives are the words 'this', 'that', 'these' and 'those'

  • They must agree with the noun in gender and number:

Me gusta este producto.

I like this product.

feminine singular

Esa falda es roja.

That skirt is red.

Higher tier only

This grammar is only required for Higher tier.

  • Use the demonstrative adjective aquel to say ‘that’ or ‘those’ for things that are further away, or to mean ‘over there’
