In the topic of shopping, use demonstrative adjectives to point out items. Let's look at them in more detail.
Demonstrative adjectives
Demonstrative adjectives are the words 'this', 'that', 'these' and 'those'
They must agree with the noun in gender and number:
this | that | Examples | ||
masculine singular | este | ese | Me gusta este producto. | I like this product. |
feminine singular | esta | esa | Esa falda es roja. | That skirt is red. |
these | those | Examples | ||
masculine plural | estos | esos | Estos clientes son simpáticos. | These customers are friendly. |
feminine plural | estas | esas | Esas camisas son bonitas. | Those shirts are beautiful. |
Higher tier only
This grammar is only required for Higher tier.
Use the demonstrative adjective aquel to say ‘that’ or ‘those’ for things that are further away, or to mean ‘over there’
