Organ - GCSE Biology Definition

An organ is a group of different tissues working together to perform a specific function in an organism. For example, the heart is an organ that pumps blood around the body, and the lungs are organs involved in gas exchange. Each organ is part of an organ system, such as the circulatory system or the respiratory system. In GCSE Biology, understanding how organs function and interact helps explain how living organisms survive and carry out essential processes.
