To be able to talk about your future plans for studying, the near future tense is essential. Let’s look at it in more detail.
Near future
Dans le futur, je vais aller à l’université et je vais étudier les sciences. Je vais travailler dur pour réussir mes examens.
The near future tense is used to express ‘going to’ when talking about future plans
The sentence above uses the near future tense, and means 'In future I am going to go to university and I am going to study science. I am going to work hard to pass my exams'
Use the present tense form of the verb aller then add an infinitive

nous allons | we are going | |
vous allez | you are going (plural or formal) | |
ils / elles vont | they are going |
Add ne ... pas around the form of aller to make negative sentences
Nous n'allons pas étudier les maths
We are not going to study maths
Ils ne vont pas réussir les examens
They are not going to pass the exams
