Future plans: work
When talking about your future work plans, you could mention:
what you want to work as and why
where you want to work
how you imagine the world of work
what is important to you in your job
You will also need to use the simple future tense correctly to talk about these plans.

Future plans: work: vocabulary
Some useful words and phrases to talk about your future plans for work are:
Je voudrais devenir … - I would like to become …
Je vais devenir … - I am going to become …
Je vais travailler comme … - I am going to work as …
Je rêve d’être … - I dream of being …

Don’t use the indefinite article (a, an) when talking about jobs in French:
Elle est journaliste.
She is a journalist.
Je voudrais devenir artiste.
I want to become an artist.
There are several French nouns for ‘job’ or ‘work’ - make sure you recognise them as synonyms:
boulot (m)
emploi (m)
métier (m)
travail (m)
It is always useful to learn idioms in a foreig language
The French phrase métro, boulot, dodo literally means ‘metro, work, sleep’ - it describes a repetitive daily routine where you do nothing but go to work and come home, then do it all again the next day
Je ne veux pas une vie métro, boulot, dodo. Je veux voyager et découvrir le monde.
I don’t want a routine life. I want to travel and discover the world.
