Sport: Exam Skills (AQA GCSE Spanish): Revision Note

The topic of ‘sport’ can appear in any of the exams - you might be asked to speak or write about yourself, or understand information about others. Let’s use the vocabulary, grammar and phonics we have seen so far to take a closer look at some typical exam questions and how you might tackle them.
Sport: listening
In the listening exam, you will complete a dictation task where you write down exactly what you hear in Spanish. This question will help you practise dictation.

Sport: speaking
In part 3 of the speaking exam, you need to describe two photos and then have a conversation with your teacher about the theme covered in the photos. This question will help you to practise describing a photo on the topic of sport.

Examiner Tips and Tricks
To respond correctly and accurately, you must be able to understand question words. In the questions above, cuándo means 'when' and qué and cuál mean 'which' or 'what'.
Sports: reading
In the reading exam, there will be some multiple-choice questions where you need to select the correct ending for each sentence. This question will help you to practise this.

You are reading an article about La Vuelta a España, a bike race.

La Vuelta a España es una carrera de ciclismo muy famosa y una competición muy difícil.
