How do I answer a CIE IGCSE Business 4-mark question?

State or Identify questions

  • In these questions you need to either

    • Name, select or recognise four distinct points

    • Express, in clear terms, four distinct points

Example

State the four elements of the marketing mix.

Outline questions

  • In these questions you need to either

    • Set out two main points, with reference to the case study

    • Up to two knowledge [K] marks are available for stating key points

    • Up to two application [Ap] marks are available for relevant references to the case study

Paolo wants to start up a business making cakes. He plans to sell all of his products to a wholesaler. Paolo knows the packaging for his products will be important. He has prepared some financial and sales data. An extract from this data is shown in the table below. Paolo is considering using crowdfunding as a source of finance. He knows the business will also need working capital.
