How do I answer an Edexcel GCSE Business multiple choice question?

  • These questions require you to select one or more correct answers from a choice of answers

  • They test how effectively you can recall knowledge from the specification content

  • Multiple-choice questions are worth either one or two marks

Top tips

  • Look for at least one obvious incorrect option that is unrelated to the focus of the question

Example

  • In this one-mark example, the obvious incorrect option is excluded

  • Sound knowledge of the specification then narrows down the final answer

Multiple-choice question asking which is a barrier to effective communication; options are new information, new machinery, jargon, job description. Jargon is correct.
