Ananya Sengupta

About

Ananya has been creating content for Save My Exams since January 2026. Before that, she spent five years as a science teacher and has teaching experience across secondary education, including KS3 Science, GCSE Science and A-Level Physics.

She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Physics and Philosophy before completing a PGDE with QTS at Birmingham City University.

Ananya is passionate about making STEM more accessible and encouraging young people to consider careers in science and technology. During her teaching career, she developed initiatives to increase STEM engagement among female students, including a programme that increased STEM engagement and reducing bias.

She also founded and developed a STEM club and organised a panel event connecting more than 40 students with professionals working in STEM careers.

Outside of teaching and content creation, Ananya enjoys playing piano and violin and loves travelling. Her interest in the relationship between Physics and music also influenced her university studies, with her dissertation exploring sound waves in musical instruments.
