Robert Hampton

• Rob has worked at Save My Exams since January 2024, and is now a full time content writer for Computer Science courses at all levels.

• He spent 18 years in the classroom, dedicating himself to raising aspirations for students in Stoke-on-Trent and opening their eyes to the potential and opportunities that Computer Science offers.

• Rob successfully led the introduction of Computer Science at GCSE in September 2012, becoming a head of department. His degree in Computer Science helped ensure the curriculum was well designed, delivered effectively, and engaging for students. A successful introduction catering to diverse learning styles led to a positive learning environment and drove student numbers to make it one of the most highly opted for subjects.

• In addition to teaching experience, Rob has held a number of leadership roles in schools. His ability to build strong relationships with students made him a perfect fit to lead whole school transition from KS3 to KS4. He spent 3 years working with local primary schools to improve the transition process, understanding where students are coming from and creating smoother pathways for them makes the transition easier for everyone involved.

• During his teaching years, Rob was also passionate about using technology to improve the quality of education in and out of the classroom. He successfully led the introduction of a whole school online platform, promoting paperless learning and enhancing communication between teachers, parents and students. This was fundamental to the high quality education offered during the recent pandemic.

• Outside of crafting compelling content, Rob is committed to doing the things that make him the happiest. Raising his two beautiful daughters, relaxing in the immersive and engaging nature of video games and embracing the festive spirit by celebrating Oktoberfest.

Education

• Rob graduated from from the University of Staffordshire with a BSc(hons) in Computer Science. He went on to complete a PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University.
