Future Plans: Work: Grammar (AQA GCSE Spanish): Revision Note

There are two future tenses in Spanish - the near future (going to) and the inflectional future (will). Let's look at the inflectional future in more detail.

Inflectional future

• Use the inflectional future tense to express ‘will’ when talking about future plans

• Use the infinitive verb (e.g. trabajar) and add the following endings:

• Four key verbs add these endings to an irregular stem, rather than to the infinitive:

• Hay means 'there' is or 'there are' - its inflecitonal future form is habrá (there will be)

Higher tier only

This grammar is only required for Higher tier.
