1(b) Write a letter to the parents of a young relative, advising them on whether their child should join an intensive sports training programme.

Use your own words to write your letter based on what you have read in both Text A and Text B.

In your letter you should:

• evaluate the views, attitudes and ideas given in both texts

• discuss the factors the parents should consider before deciding

• give your views on whether the child and their family will benefit from the programme
