Complete any outstanding papers for each course
You’ll need a complete set for each course to be able to calculate your grade
Some subjects are tiered or contain optional content and different combinations, so check carefully to ensure you have completed all the appropriate papers
Find your course in the tables below
Add up your raw marks across all papers or calculate your weighted total
Most courses simply add up your raw marks across all papers. However, some subjects apply a multiplier to certain papers, meaning those marks count for more in your total
For these courses, multiply each paper's raw score by its weight before adding up
Weightings are shown in the notes below the grade boundaries table
Your grade is the highest boundary your total reaches or exceeds
IGCSE Grade Boundaries
IGCSE grades run from A* (highest) to G (lowest).
CIE (Cambridge) Sciences and Maths papers are tiered, so be sure to check that you've completed the appropriate combination of papers and look at the right grade boundaries for Core or Extended.
Edexcel Maths papers are also tiered, so be sure to check that you've completed the appropriate combination of papers and look at the right grade boundaries for Foundation or Higher.
CIE Sciences have weighted papers, so be careful to use the weightings explained in the notes on paper weightings below.
All other papers carry equal weight.

Notes on paper weightings for CIE IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics
All three IGCSE Sciences use weightings; they add a multiplier to certain papers, meaning those marks count for more in your total.
To calculate your weighted total, simply multiply each paper's raw score by its weight before adding up.
The weightings are the same for both Core and Extended papers.
Paper 1 | Paper 2 | Paper 3 | |
Core | 1.5 | 1.25 | 1 |
Extended | 1.5 | 1.25 | 1 |
